Today I took the easy option of Roger Federer to win Wimbledon. So, so far, so good.
8/11 again (I think – Willhill is down at the moment though)
I saw a fella on TV say he thought Fed would beat Murray here but that would improve Murray’s odds in New York and that was the one our favourite Scot/Brit would win. So I might well have a look at that as he sounded like he knew his biscuits.

I dont exactly have a great record when it comes to sports betting (!) but there is one mens match at Wimbledon that takes my fancy tomorrow. I like Romanian giant Victor Hanescuu to beat Ivan Navarro at a general (4/5). Hanescu has had about his best year on tour, and has the sort of game that ought to adapt well to grass. His opponent (ranked 40 places below Victor) meanwhile has failed to win any of his previous six sets at SW19. First up on Court 5 at Noon so money in your bank by lunchtime!
On the outright front I like Caroline Wozniacki in the Womens at (20/1) and a whirl on Marin Cilic in the mens at a very tempting (170.0) on Betfair.
Good Luck with your challenge, Jon.
Cheers Jon. I’ve had a fiver on the giant!
As I type it 6 all in the fifth set…thought we had this in the bag half an hour ago
Hanescu just saved his 4th match point! We’ll get there in the end…!! 7-7 in the 5th currently!
You get involved in a Jon gamble you are always letting yourself in for a rollacoaster ride. This is carnage.
What a match! Cheers Jon. I’m very happy with that. A modest win it may be but a win nonetheless. I’ll write up day three properly later.
Keep em’ coming!
