I moved in with my girlfriend last Friday ( some would say my biggest gamble yet) so until I get my web access turned on I’m reliant on the web access on my phone and sneaking a few minutes in my lunch break at work to make the updates.
In the last few days I’ve been keeping up with the gambles but hampered with the updates so here’s a summary:
Day 20 – Friday 10th July
Tommo and I stayed up into the early hours of Friday morning righting some of the wrongs I’d done earlier in this adventure on the poker tables of Poker Stars. We were multi-tabling on the 10c/25c tables and just about doubled up our £20. Exact details to follow.
Later on the Friday whilst packing away my life, we had a quick £1 e/w on Plum Pudding at Newmarket. A masterful performance from my favourite jockey of the lasy year, Ryan Moore, as he lead from the off and won me a tasty £17.
Sadly African Rose failed to deliver the goods later on in the afternoon but by then we’d packed up the TV so not sure how close it was.
Another disappointment was my shout for top Aussie batsman on the first innings, Mike Hussey. He was out for 3.
Day 21 – Saturday 11th
Tommo was kind enough to place a bet for me as it got to 10pm and I realised I’d not bet. I had £3 on Midday at 9/2 in Sunday’s race.
Then I got a bit concerned he’d spy the chance of an easy tenner (as he’s bet me I can’t do a Gamble of the day, every day) by not placing it.
So to be on the safe side I hedged the bet with Danno who bet me 50p Tommo would stitch me up. He didn’t (in fact he says it didn’t even cross his mind) but the horse lost anyway. Danno owes me 50p.
Day 22 – Sunday 12th
I found out I could access Boylesports on my mobile and this proved useful as I got to 11pm before realising I’d not bet on anything. I went for James Wade to win his first round match in the darts next week.
He helped to win me £90 in a win treble at Alexandra Palace before Christmas but at 1/5 I’d have needed to lump hard to replicate that. I went for £5. Good job too as Lady P says he’s gone off the boil a bit.
Day 23 – Monday 13th
Tiger Woods to win the Open. £10 at 9/4. Bosh. Most other golfers had a starting price of 20/1 or more so I perhaps need one or two of those as a little bankers if the big man slips up.
Day 24 – Tuesday 14th
George has challenged me to eat a donut without licking my lips so I’m just trying to work out how to prove that before accepting and today Jon has suggested another tennis wager.
Tommo tells me Jon studies tennis form every day of the year. This is why I have put a fiver on her at 10/11 with Boyles.
I’ll be back in due course to update the running totals and fill in the void of the last few days.

The way Man City are trying to buy everyone and become the English Real Madrid, hows about a flutter on the Blues finishing in the top four of the Prem at the end of season 2009/10? If I read Betfair right, I think 3/1 is being offered. Dunno about anywhere else.
